It has been a two and half year wait but the news we have all been waiting to hear has finally come. Visa free travel to Japan will be reinstated next month for the following 68 countries. As you can imagine since the proverbial gates opened bookings have come in a flood with peak dates disappearing faster than you can say fresh tracks. 

"Japan will allow visa-free, independent tourism and abolish a daily arrival cap as of Oct. 11, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Thursday, marking a major policy shift after nearly 2½ years of strict COVID-19 restrictions."  (Japan Times September 23rd 2022)
